CommunityAid Zambia works in collaboration with relevant partners to empower the needy, but viable communities to achieve dignified sustainable livelihoods through capacity building in integrated agriculture, Climate change & Natural Resources Management, gender equity, organizational development, governance, providing appropriate productive resources while mitigating the impact of climate change in rural communities.
CommunityAid Zambia works in collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Zambia and private sector especially through the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Green Economy and Environment, Local Authorities, Heifer International Zambia, Farmer Groups such as; District Livestock cooperatives & District Farmers Associations and other local & Civil Society Organizations.

However, CommunityAid Zambia’s project interventions include provision of livestock; particularly small ruminants such as Goats & chickens, support for integrated agriculture, climate change & Natural Resources Management, economic empowerment & Humanitarian relief, capacity building and strengthening of vulnerable community groups, Child Protection, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, provision of learning and teaching materials in schools and adult literacy centers. Program efforts are aimed at attainment of human rights, ending hunger and poverty while caring for the environment and natural resources in the rural communities of Zambia.
Our program also focuses on creating a viable community through Research & Innovation, strengthening the family unit, enhancing human dignity, promoting integrated agricultural systems and using indigenous people’s skills and resources. Currently, CommunityAid Zambia is currently operating in Eastern Province, but with some presence in other regions through partnerships & synergies. The organization’s established projects involve; Capacity building, Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, Educational Support, Maternal Health, Environment, Natural resource Management & Climate Change, smallholder livestock and crop value chain projects, micro enterprise activities; e.g. local poultry, Village Savings & Credit Facilities, piggery and cash crops production among others in rural areas.
